Suspect Detained for Shanghai Bomb Scare

(Beijing) – Police detained a man in Jiangsu Province in connection to the bomb scare which led to a stampede in Shanghai on July 6.

Witnesses said a man shouted that there was a bomb onboard and around 50 passengers on the Metro Line 2 train from Jing'an Temple then ran in panic through the 8-carriage train, according to local media reports.

The man, about 30 years old and wearing a shirt with white and red stripes, had shouted that he saw another male passenger carrying a bag with a bomb in it.
