Hebei Police Say District Chief's Death a Suicide

(Beijing) -- Police in Hebei Province announced that a 48-year-old district police chief committed suicide in his office on the night of July 10.

The death of Zhang Haizhong, head of the Hanshan district of Handan City in Hebei Province, was earlier believed to be a murder, according to the Guangzhou-based Nanfang Daily.
