Russia Said to Lower Natural Gas Price Offer to China
(Beijing) – Russia plans to bring down its natural gas offer to the Chinese side in the aim of breaking a stalemate in negotiations for a 30-year export contract, according to a report by Russian newspaper, Izvestia.
Alexander Medvedev, deputy chief executive of Russian natural gas giant Gazprom, has led a delegation to Beijing in recent days to restart natural gas export negotiations with the Chinese side. Russia intends to offer a price of US$ 250 per thousand cubic meters, which is the upper end of what the Chinese side could accept, said the report.
