E-Commerce Firms Rush to Build Warehouses

(Beijing) -- Buoyed by China's booming e-commerce sector, warehouse demand now far outstrips supply in China, moving some leading internet companies to branch into logistics and property development. 

According to a report from the Chinese Association of Warehouses and Storage (CAWS), the domestic demand for warehouse space in 2010 was 700 million square meters, but only 550 million square meters were available.
