China 4G Technology Debuts at Universiade

(Shenzhen) – TD-LTE, one of the 4G standards hosted by China Mobile Ltd. (HKEX: 00941), the world's largest telecom carrier by users, was introduced at the World University Games, or Universiade, in Shenzhen, which started on August 12.

At the carrier's demonstration site, a video clip can be downloaded via its TD-LTE network in three minutes, compared to 2 hours needed in a 3G environment.
