Analysts Expect Liquidity Squeeze in September

(Beijing) -- Analysts fear severe liquidity strains in September as the central bank extends reserve requirements on commercial bank margin deposits.

An estimated 887 billion yuan will be frozen over the next six months, with roughly 140 billion yuan to be frozen in September within the commercial banking system when the new margin deposit regulations take effect.
