Caixin Survey: August Bank Lending Tops 500 Bln Yuan

(Beijing) -- In a recent survey of economists at more than 20 financial institutions, the average estimate for August's new loan issuance by commercial banks was 505.8 billion yuan.

The survey results, conducted by Caixin, also put broader money supply growth at an average of 14.2 percent year-on-year, slightly lower than the previous month.

In July, new loan issuance stood at 493 billion yuan, according to China's central bank.
