Shanghai Housing Inventory Surges

(Shanghai) -- New housing inventory in Shanghai has climbed as government curbs over soaring home prices continue to dampen sales.

According to data from China Real Estate Information Corp. (CRIC), new housing inventory totaled nearly 2 million square meters as of September 19 this year, far exceeding last year's stock of 1.3 million square meters.
