Shanghai Subway Collision Injures Hundreds

Two subway trains in Shanghai operating on the newly-opened line 10 rear-ended on the afternoon of September 27, injuring at least 245 people.

The collision occurred around one hour after subway officials made an announcement asking passengers to use other modes of transportation in light of anticipated delays resulting from equipment failure on line 10.
