Former Sony Chairman Joins Lenovo Board

(Beijing) -- Nobuyuki Idei, former chairman and CEO of Sony Corp. will join Lenovo Group Ltd. (HKEX: 00992), China's largest computer maker, as the company's independent non-executive director, the company announced September 28.

Idei retired from Sony in 2005 and now also serves on the board of directors for several companies, including Baidu Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU), China's leading Internet search engine, according to the Lenovo statement.
