Caixin: What is your philosophy on the development of the insurance industry?

Wu: A sound insurance industry should serve overall economic growth. China's insurance industry's leapfrog development is due to its national economic development. When I started in my position as chairman of the China Regulatory Insurance Commission, insurance companies were insufficiently solvent. Without asking for money from the government, we used reforms to solve these historical problems.
