Telecom ZTE Finds Competitive Edge in Europe

The competitive spirit drove Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE Corp. into Europe, the home base of some of its biggest rivals, with surprising success.

The company's latest sales report are a feather in the cap for Shi Lirong, who was promoted to president of Shenzhen-based ZTE last year and is squarely behind an expansion into European markets dominated by local favorites such as Nokia Siemens and Ericsson.
