Manufacturers Cut Smart Phone Prices

(Beijing) – Manufacturers are offering price cuts for smart phones in order to grab market shares in China, according to a report by consultancy Analysys International.
IPhones in China have been selling at an average price of 5,100 yuan each during the third quarter this year, down 21.5 percent from a year earlier, while Blackberry declined to 3,300 yuan apiece and Android system-based phones fell to 1,900 yuan apiece, said Analysys.
