In WTO's Pascal Lamy, Free Trade Has a Voice

One-on-one, he speaks slowly and stands tall. And at the global negotiating table, Pascal Lamy speaks effectively while standing up for free trade and China.

Lamy is a veteran trade negotiator. He's served as director-general for the World Trade Organization since September 2005. In a previous position as the European trade commissioner, he played a special role in helping China win WTO accession in 2001.
