Slim Harvest for Organ Transplants in China

A court-mandated slowdown for prisoner executions has been blamed for worsening China's critical shortage of human organs for transplant candidates.

But a lack of criminal cadavers is just one of many reasons why health officials say about 1.5 million people in China go begging for a kidney, liver and another organ every year and may never get a reply.
