Standard Chartered: Real Estate Curbs May Unwind in Q2

(Beijing) – China may back away from its current real estate controls in the second quarter in order to prevent a hard landing in the sector, Standard Chartered said in a recent report.
The property market is cooling off and home price growth has softened with developers beginning to offer discounts to move sales since October, said Standard Chartered.
