Manufacturing Activity Up in January

(Beijing) – With the ongoing uptick in China's manufacturing sector, analysts say the central bank's easing of monetary policies managed to tamp down the effects of weakened demand abroad.

According to the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, China's January Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) grew to 50.5, compared with 50.3 in December and 49, in November.
