Senior VP on the Future of Lenovo
After years of expansion and acquisitions – including the 2005 purchase of IBM's PC division – Lenovo now commands more than 13 percent of the worldwide computer market, overtaking Dell in the third quarter of last year to become the world's second largest supplier of personal computers.
The company's expansion last year was boosted in part by a joint venture with NEC in Japan, as well as aggressive marketing targeted towards both professionals and consumers, and it has its sights firmly set on the number one spot currently held by HP.
