China Mobile Vice President Detained

(Beijing) – China Mobile announced its vice president and executive director Lu Xiangdong is currently under investigation by Jilin provincial authorities.

Caixin learned from multiple sources that Lu was detained in Beijing by the Jilin Procuratorate on the evening of February 28.

Sources say the fact that Lu's case was handed over to Jilin provincial authorities by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and not to party disciplinary authorities, indicates provincial authorities have enough evidence to convict Lu in court trials.
