Bo Xilai Remarks on Wang Lijun Scandal

(Beijing) – In an absence from a March 8 meeting of the annual National People's Congress, the Communist Party head of Chongqing made his first public comments so far on the ongoing political scandal and disappearance of a top police chief.

Speaking in the Chongqing Room of the Great Hall of the People in Beijingon March 9, Bo Xilai said over the rumored defection of his longtime ally, Chongqing vice-mayor and director of public security Wang Lijun, that the results of a probe over Wang would be released later.
