Chinese Business Group Urges EU to Ease New Foreign Investment Restrictions

The China Chamber of Commerce to the EU has urged the bloc to ease restrictions on foreign investment and relax local content requirements in feedback on the European Commission’s proposed Industrial Accelerator Act.

The Industrial Accelerator Act, unveiled in March, is widely considered the EU’s latest attempt to curb the growing influence of Chinese manufacturers, particularly those from the industries of electric vehicles (EVs) and power batteries.
