China Sees Slower Growth of Wind Power Industry


(Beijing) – Recently released statistics show that the growth of China's wind power industry slowed last year.

The nation had 17.6 gigawatts worth of newly installed wind turbine capacity last year, the China Renewable Energy Industry Association said on March 23. This was down nearly 7 percent on the figure for 2010.

The total accumulated capacity as of 2011 was 62.3 gigawatts.
