Gov't Cracks Down On Junk Text Messages
(Beijing) – The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has launched a two-month campaign to crack down on junk text messages, the central government portal gov.cn reported on March 27.
The clampdown, starting March 26 and lasting until the end of May, will target telecom carriers whose platforms are used to send phone spam illegally, the report said. The ministry will set up a system to monitor the messages.
