Scientists Assail Nomination of Tobacco Project for National Prize

(Beijing) – Thirty researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences have protested against the nomination of a cigarette industry project for a national science award.

The scientists published a petition letter in China Science Daily on April 9 arguing that the committee for the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award should recognize advancements that benefit society.
