School Built With Quake Funds Demolished
(Beijing) – A middle school rebuilt using funds from the Hong Kong government following the 2008 Sichuan earthquake was demolished to a make way for commercial property development by Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co. Ltd.
Hong Kong authorities donated HK$ 4 million to rebuild the Zijing Ethnic Minorities Middle School. It reopened in March 2010 to 360 students from the ethnically Tibetan Aba prefecture.
