Zhang Jindong (张近东)

Zhang Jindong, born in 1963, is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce. He is now the chairman of Suning Corp.

After starting off with a small store selling electronics in 1990, Zhang spent the past twenty years building an electronic store empire. One of the two co-founders of Suning, Zhang has created one of China's leading appliance stores and is currently listed as one of the richest people in China.
