Electronic Waste Disposal Causing Severe Pollution, Researchers Say

(Beijing) – Although the illegal disposal of electronic waste is prohibited by local governments, many people still do the job to make a living, polluting the air, soil and water, a recent report says.

Zeng Yongping and other researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry write in the October issue of the scientific journal Environment Science & Technology that the illegal dismantling of electronic garbage is causing severe problems.
