Banking Union in Place in Two Years, Intesa CEO Says

(Beijing) – Regardless of current political difficulties, a European Union banking union will be in place in two years, Intesa Sanpaolo CEO Enrico Cucchiani said in Beijing.

"I think that we will move on pretty fast with a common supervision of the largest banks," Cucchiani said. "And it will take longer to get into the smaller banks because of the political resistance."
