Beyond 'Warring States'

Prominent sociologist Wang Mingming discusses how China has entered a new "warring states" period and needs to move beyond its current embattled status. Using the theories of Wu Wenzao and Fei Xiaotong, leaders in the fields of Chinese sociology and anthropology, Wang argues that China needs to embrace the concept of being a unified cohesive nation. The evolution of  "nationhood" concepts are discussed, and offers applications to Chinese society.
