Li Yuanchao

Li Yuanchao, the director of the party's Organization Department, which handles personnel matters, was born in November of 1950 in Lianshui County, Jiangsu Province.

After studying math at Shanghai Normal University, Li taught in secondary schools in the area before beginning graduate work at Fudan University in 1978. He then became a professor at Fudan's School of Management, and served as the department's secretary of the Communist Youth League. Later, Li became a full-time Communist Youth League cadre, serving various senior positions.
