Not So Fast: KFC May Be Seeing End of Fast Growth in China

On November 23, Chinese media accused one of the chicken suppliers to KFC China, known as the Su Hai Group, of feeding toxic chemicals to the animals to accelerate their growth cycle from 100 days to a mere 45. KFC China responded on the same day, denying the allegations and stating that 45 days is the industry standard. At the same time, KFC China said Su Hai Group supplies less than 1 percent of its chickens.
