Directed by Beijing art rocker Peng Lei, Follow Follow tells the story of a young girl entering the city's crackling punk rock scene with a passion for Kurt Cobain. With a cast full of real-life punk rock music makers and muses which include Jian Cui and Panda Jennifer, the film dips into the development of the Chinese rock scene and the potentially problematic portrayals of international music influences.
