A total of US$ 2.74 trillion illegally left China between 2000 and 2010, according to a new report from non-profit Global Financial Integrity in Washington.
Of the countries studied in the report, China had the largest outflow of illicit funds during the decade, exceeding the combined amount of the next nine countries.
The dirty money that left China accounted for nearly half of the cumulative US$ 5.86 trillion lost by all 150 developing countries in the study.
