The seven newly selected members of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party Central Committee Politburo have now been seen in public together twice: at the mid-November press conference that introduced them to the world and on a late November field trip to the National Museum of China. The exhibition the new leadership chose to visit is called "The Road of Rejuvenation" (also translated as "The Road to Revival"), a massive permanent display with 1,200 artifacts and 870 photographs that documents the period from the Opium War onward, when "the Chinese people…rose in resistance against humiliation and misery and tried in every way possible to rejuvenate the nation."
