Secrets of the Soviet Mindset

Around the world, the image of Russian civilization is one that contains many facets. Many think back to the golden age of Russian literature, with the works of Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. But this would overlook the cultural influence of the Soviet mindset, and that of the KGB.

Today's Chinese policymakers and intellectuals now incorporate the use of culture to gain an understanding of the political. Much in the spirit of Qu Qiubai, they are of the belief that cultural power is closely related to political power. Russian literature is magnificent, and so Russian political power is also just as impressive. They believe that Russia can be our friend, or even our lover.
