Founder of Online Literature Site Detained

(Beijing) – A founder of the country's largest online literature portal has been detained over economic crimes and copyright violation, industry sources say.

Luo Li is the former vice general manager and one of the founders of Qidian.com, a website that published original fiction by online writers. In 2004, Qidian was acquired by Shanda Corp. and made a wholly owned subsidiary of Cloudary Corp., the online literature subsidiary of Shanda.
