Capital's Taxi-Hailing App Firms Told to Work with Official Dispatchers

(Beijing) – The Beijing city government has required companies offering apps used to virtually hail taxis to cooperate with official dispatching companies.

The change regarding the increasingly popular apps went into effect on July 1.

The government of the capital city said the move is aimed at better regulating the market and making it easier for people to get a taxi during rush hour and in bad weather.
