Wealth Management Money in Non-Standard Assets 'Dips in June'
(Beijing) – The amount of bank wealth management money invested in non-standardized assets fells to 2.78 trillion yuan by end of June, the head of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) says.
This total was down 7 percent from March, Shang Fulin said at a work conference on July 31 that was open to the press.
This is the first time the banking regulator has disclosed the amount of bank wealth management money invested in non-standard assets since it imposed a ceiling on such investments in March out of concern that they are hard to track and may hide risk.
