Law Proposal for Shanghai FTZ 'Not a Free Pass for Foreigners'

(Beijing) – A proposal to suspend four laws in the Shanghai free trade zone (FTZ) is aimed at streamlining the process of setting up foreign-invested enterprise and would not be a free-pass for foreign investors in all areas, an expert at the Ministry of Commerce says.

Members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the nation's top legislative body, will vote on the proposal on August 30.
