Ministry Issues Market Entry Requirements for Solar Product Industry

(Beijing) – A long-anticipated market entry requirement for the solar energy products industry was released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on September 17 in an aim to rein in overcapacity.

The ministry set requirements in terms of technology standards, production capacity, energy consumption, environmental protection, capital ratio and research capacities. Analysts predicted the standards will trigger a reshuffle in the suffering solar industry.
