Xinjiang Military Boss Loses Party Post after Tiananmen Attack

(Beijing) – The military boss of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has lost a Communist Party position following a terror attack in Tiananmen Square.

Peng Yong, head of the western Xinjiang Military Region, was replaced as a member of Xinjiang party standing committee by the military region's political commissar, Liu Lei.
