China's War With Japan, 1937-1945: The Struggle for Survival

Rana Mitter's China's War With Japan looks at the conflict in China which began in 1937 and ended in 1945. This "anti-Japanese War" became part of what in the West is known as World War II, and Mitter's premise is that China's role in this expansive conflict has, to date, been underplayed in most accounts. An important objective of the book is therefore to highlight the contributions China made in the ultimate victory of the Allies.
