China to Grow at 7.5 Pct and Focus on Reforms, Premier Says


(Beijing) – Deepening reform, stabilizing the economy and improving people's quality of life will be the focus of the country's economic and social development this year, Premier Li Keqiang said in his first government work report delivered to an annual legislative meeting.

Li said at the opening session of the National People's Congress that the government is targeting growth of about 7.5 percent in 2014 and wants to keep inflation below 3.5 percent. These are the same goals as last year.
