Businessman Facing Australian Insider Trading Case Seeks Asylum in HK

(Hong Kong) – A Chinese executive wanted for insider trading in Australia has asked a court in Hong Kong to grant him asylum.

Xiao Hui, a former executive at Sichuan Hanlong Group, made the application in the former British colony's Eastern Court on March 13. Xiao faces 104 charges in Australia over Hanlong's acquisition activities in the country.
