The Fight or Flight Response

Two days ago I read a commentary in the Oriental Dailyon the right to have a frank attitude regarding issues in Chinese society. The article mentioned two influential commentators, one a popular and highly outspoken CCTV anchor host who recently went to the United States to give birth to her daughter; and the other, a "patriotic" commentator who defines himself as standing in opposition to Western hegemony, yet, sent his son to the U.S. many years ago.
