(Pingdu) – A land requisition dispute in the eastern province of Shandong has led to a tragedy in which one farmer died in a fire and another three were injured. The public has questions about what caused the situation and how the local government handled it.

Local media reports say a tent erected by farmers on land expropriated by a local government and sold to developers caught fire early on March 21 in Pingdu, a city in Shandong Province. One farmer in the tent died and three others were hurt.
