Who Do You Think You Are?

A friend of mine recently visited a very reputable specialist hospital for his heart problem. When he finally managed to see the chief physician, the doctor's first question wasn't "What's the matter with you?" or "How long have you been feeling unwell?" but "What guanxi have you got?" And even before my friend had time to answer the question about personal connections, the doctor added: "Unless you have a direct guanxi, I'm not seeing you."
