Miao Wei: China's Minister of Market Reform

(Beijing) -- The key to resolving industrial overcapacity problems in China may be a document recently approved by the State Council that encourages efficiency-focused mergers and acquisitions.

The key maker is a government agency that took the lead in drafting the reform document – the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

And leading MIIT, which Beijing authorities are using to help China build a more market-oriented economy, is the ministry's chief since 2010, Miao Wei.
