Film: No Man's Land

The latest work from up-and-coming Chinese director Ning Hao, best-known for his cult hit Crazy Stone, is the neo-Western thriller No Man's Land. In a similar vein to Guy Ritchie's earlier films, Ning Hao has an ensemble of bumbling criminals and a cunning lawyer slog it out amongst each other. Set amidst a desert landscape somewhere in Northeastern China, it all starts with the capturing of a rare falcon worth 1 million RMB on the black market, but with so many twists and turns, the audience has no idea who will end up on top until the very end.
