The Iron Auntie

The passing of Peng Gang, former member of the Standing Committee of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission (CDIC), the Communist Party's top anti-graft fighter, was reported on June 24.

Peng was also the anti-graft head of the People's Liberation Army's General Political Department. She was one of a handful of female generals in China to be promoted to her position and became one of the few women to have reached the standing committee of the CDIC.
